Directing Portfolio

Randy is a multi-talented director focused on building a story while setting the stage for collaborators to do their thing.

As a director on set, he applies his editorial instincts. Visualize the story. The key beats. How it’ll all stitch together. Often working hand-in-hand with agency studios and motion-designers, Randy is well-versed in fast-paced, high-impact commercial spots.

His work spans scripted and docu-style, including commercial projects for Samsung, Reebok, Anheuser-Busch, and a music video for Wu-Tang Clan, as well as two written feature-length screenplays: a western, The Line in the High Country, and the psychological thriller When I Die.

Randy completed the UCLA Professional Screenwriting program in 2021 and holds a BFA in Film and Television from New York University, where his short film Seymour received numerous production awards, including the Panavision New Filmmakers Program. He cut his teeth on experimental film: digging through bins of discarded Super 8, placing it on a light table, finding the energy, and crafting something new.

He grew up in Columbus, Ohio and currently can be found in Los Angeles, biking up and down the southern California coast.
